By Liz Hampton and Tommy Lund PREDAZZO, Italy, Feb 16 (Reuters) - Ski jumping left a distinct mark on the Milano Cortina Winter Games, with a strange sideshow, a weather-driven controversy and a series of upsets that reshaped the sport’s landscape as its Olympic programme expanded.
Austria has won the first Olympic men’s super team ski jumping event. A snow squall forced officials to end the competition early on Monday.
Gu, 22, is a freestyle skiing star who has won two silver medals at the 2026 Winter Olympics in Italy, adding to three medals won in Beijing in 2022.
The equipment-related DQ came a day after an Austrian ski jumper was disqualified from an event due to the size of his boots.
