Saudi Arabia intercepts and destroys four ballistic missiles that were launched toward Riyadh, the kingdom’s defense ministry says, just ahead of a meeting of regional and Islamic foreign ministers in the Saudi capital.

Sources said that as per available information, the Indian national died following a missile attack on Riyadh on Wednesday.

The ministry said in a statement that continued Iranian attacks would lead to further escalation and have "significant consequences" for current and future relations.

The Saudi Defense Ministry reported a thwarted drone attack on Riyadh's Diplomatic Quarter, which houses the US Embassy and other foreign missions, with no reported casualties or damage.

This is the third Indian fatality on land since the Iran-US conflict erupted on February 28. Earlier, two Indian nationals were killed and 10 others injured in a drone strike in Oman’s Sohar city on March 13.

Foreign Ministers from Arab and Islamic nations held a meeting in Riyadh condemning Iranian attacks. They urged Tehran to abide by UN resolutions, halt provocative acts, and respect the sovereignty of neighbouring states amid rising tensions.
